Astana has begun accepting applications for the creation of murals and graffiti.

The authorities of Astana have announced the commencement of accepting proposals from artists and art enthusiasts who wish to contribute to the enhancement of the urban environment. This initiative aims to promote street art while simultaneously combating vandalism. The city administration reminds that illegal graffiti can result in administrative and criminal liability, thus offering a legal alternative for the realization of creative ideas.

To participate in the program, it is necessary to prepare a sketch, describe the concept of the future mural or graffiti, and explain its meaningful content. After the application is reviewed by a special commission, authors of approved projects will be granted official permission to carry out the work, as well as a designated location for the artistic installation.
