A cultural and educational event titled "Song of the Hero" was held in Almaty to commemorate the 165th anniversary of the birth of the people's poet Nurpeis Baiganin. The primary aim of the event was to promote his work among the youth and to connect them with the national cultural heritage.

Nurpeis Baiganin is one of the most distinguished poets and zhiraus of Kazakhstan, a recognized figure in the arts. He gained acclaim in his youth as a "bala zhyirshy." His works encompass a wide range of folk poetry, with notable pieces including "Karasai-Kazi," "Narkyz," and "Akkenzhe." During the Great Patriotic War, his patriotic poems "Song of the Hero" and "Twenty-Five" inspired soldiers, giving them strength and confidence in victory.

The event showcased unique photographic documents related to Baiganin's life and work, preserved in the museum's collections.

Speeches were delivered by the poet's great-grandson, members of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, a professor, students, and invited guests.
