In Almaty, the winners of the National Literary Award "Aybos" were honored.

The award ceremony for the winners of the National Literary Prize "Aybos," established by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, took place in Almaty, as reported by El.kz.

For the third time, the "Aybos" award united the best Kazakhstani authors, recognizing their contributions to the development of national literature. Aida Balayeva, the Minister of Culture and Information, congratulated the winners and emphasized the significance of the award as a tool for promoting the creativity of local writers and supporting new talents.

Results of the "Aybos" Award This year, there were 176 applications submitted across seven categories. The winners are:

- Best Prose – Beket Qarashyn with the novel "Makhambettin ölim jazasy".

- Best Poetry – Maraltai Rayymbekuly with the ballad "Aikörkem".

- Best Drama – Duman Ramazan with the play "Aziret Sultan".

- Best Literary Translation – Rauza Musabaeva for the work "Tañ zhuldizy".

- Best Children's Literature – Tóken Alzhantegi with the piece "Qyzyqtyñ bári awılda".

- Best Literary Criticism – Zhusipbek Qorgasbek with the work "Saitannyn oiyny".

- Best Comic – Zhaksylyk Sabitov with the project "Zhoshy khan".

The total prize fund for the award amounted to 35 million tenge.

Year of Landmark Projects The Ministry of Culture implemented three major initiatives:

- "Literary and Educational Panorama of Kazakhstan", which enabled young authors to create 20 new works.

- "School of Writer Mastery", providing novice writers the opportunity to learn from experienced masters.

- "Scientific Research on Kazakh Writers in the CIS Archives", aimed at studying the literary heritage.

The year 2024 was also marked by celebrations of the anniversaries of outstanding Kazakhstani writers and the organization of literary tours, which strengthened interest in national culture.

In honor of the National Book Day established by the President, the "Ultyq kitap" competition started in 2024. Plans also include the "Erlik pen enbek dastany" competition, dedicated to the significance of working professions.

The "Aybos" award continues to be an essential part of state support for writers, inspiring new authors and reinforcing the position of Kazakhstani literature.
