Министры культуры Казахстана и Франции заключили несколько значимых соглашений о сотрудничестве.

At the meeting attended by Kazakhstan's Minister of Culture Aida Balayeva and France's Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, the potential for expanding cooperation in the cultural sector was discussed.

The focus was primarily on signing agreements, including a Declaration of Intent regarding museums and cultural heritage, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Museum of Kazakhstan and the Guimet Museum. Aida Balayeva emphasized that promoting Kazakh cultural heritage on a global scale is a significant goal of Kazakhstan's cultural policy.

“We can explore opportunities for collaboration on joint cultural events: in the realm of co-production in film, in the mutual presentation of contemporary Kazakh literature in France and vice versa, in the cooperation of concert organizations, and regarding children's content,” Balayeva added.

As part of the collaboration, there are also plans to conduct internships for Kazakh specialists through the “Courants du Monde” program, which will help strengthen ties between the countries. Rachida Dati, the French Minister of Culture, expressed satisfaction with the signing of the memorandums and confirmed readiness for further collaboration, highlighting plans for organizing a national exhibition of Kazakhstan at the Guimet Museum.

During the meeting, topics such as experience exchange in museum expertise, preservation of historical heritage, the use of new technologies in museum work, and the prospects for interaction in creative industries, including fashion, were discussed. Aida Balayeva suggested paying attention to ethnic fashion and its promotion on global runways.
