Kazakhstan and UNESCO strengthen their cultural collaboration.

During her visit, Balaeva highlighted the importance of cooperation with UNESCO, emphasizing the significance of joint initiatives to promote Kazakh cultural heritage.

The parties discussed several areas of cultural exchange, including the preservation of world heritage sites, the research and promotion of intangible cultural heritage, as well as the development of creative industries. Aida Balaeva stressed that the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan aims to support translations and joint publishing projects with UNESCO, ensuring access to Kazakh culture on the international stage.

Ernesto Ottone expressed satisfaction with the dynamics of their collaboration, noting that projects focused on the protection of intangible and cultural heritage in Kazakhstan have made significant progress. He pointed out that the cooperation has become more intensive, particularly evident in the regional implementation of UNESCO projects.
