Kazakhstan and Buryatia are strengthening their trade, economic, and cultural ties.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia, Dauren Abaev, made a working visit to the Republic of Buryatia, where he met with the region's head, Alexey Tsydenov, as reported by El.kz, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

The negotiations focused on the prospects for cooperation in trade, economy, industry, and logistics. Particular attention was given to issues related to the expansion of mutual trade and industrial cooperation. In this context, a successful example was the partnership with the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, which is implementing a project for the large-scale assembly of helicopters. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan visited the enterprise and familiarized himself with its production capabilities.

Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Buryatia is also progressing in agriculture. The region has supplied over 11,000 heads of pedigree livestock to Kazakhstan and plans to expand the export of livestock products in the future.

The parties also focused on developing transport and transit potential. Due to its geographical position, Buryatia plays a strategic role in the logistics chains of the Eurasian region.

During the visit, Dauren Abaev highlighted Buryatia's natural potential and expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to enhance cooperation in tourism and environmental sectors.

Additionally, preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory were discussed. The importance of preserving historical memory regarding the joint struggle of nations against fascism was emphasized. As a sign of respect for the feats of ancestors, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan laid flowers at the Victory Memorial in Ulan-Ude.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
