A ceremony was held in the capital to appoint the second group of "Goodwill Ambassadors of Kazakhstan." This project, initiated by the President, aims to promote the culture, science, and sports of Kazakhstan, as well as to foster international dialogue.

Among the new Goodwill Ambassadors are folk artist Dimash Kudaibergen, opera singer Maria Mudryak, television presenter Maya Bekbaeva, archaeologist Dmitry Voyakin, and ethnographer Aigerim Musagazinova.

At the ceremony, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Akan Rahmetullin noted:

“The status of Goodwill Ambassador carries great responsibility. We will continue to represent our culture, innovations, and achievements on the global stage.”

Opera singer Maria Mudryak, who frequently represents Kazakhstan on international stages, stated that this new role inspires her to engage even more actively in promoting the national culture. In 2024, she plans to tour France, China, and Italy.

Ethnographer Aigerim Musagazinova emphasized the significance of culinary diplomacy, describing Kazakh cuisine as the cultural code of the country. She reported that over 1,500 traditional recipes have been restored, which help to reveal the hospitality and philosophy of the people.

Previously, the title of Goodwill Ambassadors was awarded to well-known Kazakh figures such as violinist Marat Bisengaliev, cardiac surgeon Yuri Pya, Olympic champion Alexander Vinokurov, and artist Karipbek Kuyukov.
