В Татарстане проходят Дни культуры Абайской области.

The main goal is to strengthen ties between the two regions, expand partnership relations, and develop cooperation in the field of culture.

The collaboration between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan covers a wide range of issues, encompassing both economic and cultural spheres. The expansion of partnership initiatives fosters deeper bilateral relations.

Cultural cooperation, as emphasized by both parties, is an integral part of interregional relations. In the city of Semey, the Tatar School of Arts operates successfully, and monuments have been established for the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay and the bust of national hero Musa Jalil. In Kazan, a bust of Abai Kunanbaev—an outstanding Kazakh thinker, poet, and public figure—has also been erected. Moreover, the regional center hosts the grand Sabantuy festival annually, which attracts thousands of residents.

“We highly appreciate the attention and the opportunity to develop cooperation with Tatarstan within the framework of friendly Russian-Kazakh relations. As noted by our Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Tatarstan has been and remains a trusted friend and reliable partner for Kazakhstan across various sectors of the economy. The Republic of Tatarstan is a unique place where tradition and modernity, culture and innovation, ancestral wisdom and aspirations for the future converge. In our multi-ethnic society, different cultures and traditions are united, making us stronger and richer. Under your leadership, modern Tatarstan has become a model for many countries as well as other regions of Russia. The Abai region is actively working to develop bilateral relations in various fields. Today, the Abai region has a special mission in the exchange of cultural heritage—familiarizing itself with the modern achievements of the Republic of Tatarstan and fostering trade and investment cooperation, as the close friendly ties between the regions are rooted in historical past, shared customs, and traditions,” said the Akim of the region, Nurlan Uranhaev.

In this regard, Nurlan Uranhaev invited the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustem Minnikhanov, to visit the Abai region.
Additionally, cooperation in education, science, tourism, and sports holds immense significance for both sides. The development of these areas will strengthen the connections between peoples, making the unique traditions and accomplishments that both cultures are rich in more accessible.
