Former Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Erlan Kozhagapanov is facing trial for embezzlement charges.
The Anti-Corruption Agency has completed its investigation into former Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Erlan Kozhagapanov and the management of the contracting organization, according to El.kz.

The accused are charged with abuse of official authority and embezzlement of over 1 billion tenge. On December 13, 2024, the case was referred to the court by the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to current legislation, the accused are presumed innocent until their guilt is proven by a legally binding court verdict.
The Agency emphasizes the importance of upholding the principle of legality and continuing efforts to combat corruption among high-ranking officials.
