The government must eliminate the economy's dependence on the National Fund by 2025, according to Tokayev.

By 2025, it is essential to eliminate the country's economic dependence on the National Fund. This was stated by President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev during an extended government meeting, as reported by inbusiness.kz.

"The task of diversifying the economy has not been fully achieved. The economy is still reliant on the National Fund's resources, and business investment activity remains insufficient. These shortcomings must be addressed this year, and the government needs to take concrete measures," – said Tokayev.

Last year, many negative factors influenced economic development; however, he noted that the government kept the situation under control.

"Overall, the results are decent, and the previous year ended with positive indicators. However, we must not become complacent," – emphasized the president.

An extended government meeting is currently taking place in Astana, chaired by Kasym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting will summarize the socio-economic development of the country for 2024 and outline the main tasks for the upcoming period.
