In anticipation of the New Year, regions of Kazakhstan have actively begun preparations for the celebrations, placing orders for vibrant fireworks displays. According to data from the state procurement website, akimats are ready to allocate from 500 thousand to 5 million tenge from the budget for pyrotechnic shows, reports inbusiness.kz.

Judging by the lots published in December 2024, the requests from the regions vary, as do their financial capabilities. The most expensive order was published by the Department of Culture and Language Development of the city of Taldykorgan. Here, 5 million tenge was allocated from the city budget for a 10-12 minute pyrotechnic show. According to the technical specifications, the fireworks display should reach a height of up to 400 meters. It is also worth noting that the clients have ensured the safety of citizens: the safe zone radius must be no less than 55 meters, and the companies involved must have the appropriate licenses and certificates.

In Altai, East Kazakhstan region, the Department of Culture, Language Development, Physical Culture, and Sports plans to spend 2.6 million tenge on a fireworks display. The duration of the show will be from 5 to 10 minutes. Additionally, the companies involved must coordinate the launch of the pyrotechnics with local law enforcement.

In the west of Kazakhstan, in the Burlynsky district, preparations are also in full swing: 2.5 million tenge has been allocated for a salute that combines traditional effects with unique combinations. The duration of the pyrotechnic show will be 9-10 minutes, with up to 40 charges launched per minute.

The city House of Culture of the akim of Tekeli is ready to allocate 2 million tenge for a pyrotechnic show. As in the Burlynsky district, here they require fireworks that utilize traditional effects. Suppliers will also need to develop a script for the pyrotechnic performance 10 days before the holiday. The height of the fireworks should reach up to 100 meters, with a duration of up to 7 minutes.

In the Magzhan Zhumabaev district (North Kazakhstan region), there will also be a festive salute. The district center for amateur folk creativity and leisure activities has allocated 1.5 million tenge for a 7-minute show with 436 shots, reaching heights of up to 150 meters. Contractors must provide at least 135 unique effects, including fire peonies, palms, and crowns.

New Year celebrations will also take place in the city of Zhanatas, where the akim's office has allocated 1.3 million tenge for a 5-minute fireworks display. A similar amount is set aside by the Department of Culture and Language Development of the akimat of the Ualikhanov district of North Kazakhstan region for a 13-minute show with 410 shots.

More modest preparations for the New Year are being made in the Akkaiyn district of North Kazakhstan region. Here, the Department of Internal Policy, Culture, and Language Development of the akimat is ready to allocate 900 thousand tenge for an 8-minute fireworks display. Despite the small budget, the show promises to be spectacular: 550 shots and heights of up to 100 meters.

The most budget-friendly fireworks this year will be in the Mamlyut district of North Kazakhstan region. The local cultural center has allocated 500 thousand tenge for a 7-minute show with 292 shots.

It was previously reported that akimats of the districts allocated up to 14 million tenge for New Year decorations and trees. The most expensive order was published by the Kairshakhtinsky rural district of Atyrau region.
