In 2024, the Shymkent Oil Refinery (LLP "PetroKazakhstan Oil Products") processed 5.74 million tons of oil. This was revealed during a visit by Aset Magauev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "KazMunayGas," to PKOP, as reported by the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of KMG.
For the year 2024, the production of petroleum products amounted to:
- motor gasoline — 2.09 million tons, which is 39 thousand tons more than in 2023;
- diesel fuel — 1.78 million tons, which is 23 thousand tons more than in 2023;
- aviation fuel — 319 thousand tons, which is 4 thousand tons more than in 2023;
- liquefied petroleum gas — 335 thousand tons, which is 11 thousand tons more than in 2023.
In 2024, PKOP achieved a yield of light petroleum products of 78.8% and a depth of processing of 85.8%. The indicator for technological fuel and losses decreased to 7.9%, which is 0.6% lower than the level in 2023.
It is noteworthy that the meeting discussed issues related to the current operations of the enterprise, the status of the project to expand PKOP's production capacity, summarized the work done in 2024, and reviewed plans for 2025.
Recall that the project to increase the production capacity of the Shymkent Oil Refinery to 12 million tons of processed oil per year began implementation in September 2024.
