The regional quota for the admission of candidates and migrants for 2025 has been approved.

It is set at a total of 9,653 individuals.

The regional quota for the admission of Kandas and migrants for 2025 has been approved, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, citing the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.

"By the order of the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, the regional quota for the admission of Kandas and migrants for 2025 is set at 9,653 people, which is 170 more than last year. The aim of this order is to ensure optimal resettlement of Kandas and migrants in the regions designated by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the Ministry of Labor reported.

In 2025, the regional quota is distributed as follows:

  1. For Kandas: Pavlodar region – 1,056 people, Akmolinsk region – 285 people, East Kazakhstan region – 269 people, Abai region – 244 people, North Kazakhstan region – 175 people, Kostanay region – 150 people, Atyrau region – 100 people, West Kazakhstan region – 30 people;
  2. For migrants: Pavlodar region – 3,050 people, North Kazakhstan region – 2,969 people, Kostanay region – 535 people, East Kazakhstan region – 372 people, Abai region – 255 people, Ulytau region – 125 people, Karaganda region – 38 people.

Individuals included in the regional quota for the admission of Kandas and migrants will receive state support measures in the form of:

- relocation subsidies – a one-time payment of 70 MRP for each family member;

- subsidies to cover housing rental costs and utility payments, which are paid monthly in the amount of 15 to 30 MRP per family;

- subsidies for employers who assist in resettlement, amounting to 400 MRP;

- opportunities for short-term vocational training;

- assistance in employment or in developing entrepreneurial initiatives;

- issuance of certificates of economic mobility for housing purchases.

It is worth noting that in 2024, over 19,700 ethnic Kazakhs returned to their historical homeland and received the status of Kandas.

Since 1991, a total of 1,148,000 ethnic Kazakhs have returned to their historical homeland by January 1, 2025.
