A Special Economic Zone has been established in Aktobe.

The government has established a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "Aktobe." It will operate until the end of 2049 at the base of the A. Moldagulova International Airport, according to the press service of the Aktobe region.

The SEZ "Aktobe" will cover an area of 858 hectares. Within this territory, nine sectors of transportation and logistics and 29 sectors of industry will be developed.

"Currently, the construction of external and internal engineering networks for the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) 'Aktobe' has not yet begun. The work will be carried out during 2025-2026 after securing funding through the republican budget amounting to 16 billion tenge," the akimat's message states.
