Under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Sklyar, a meeting of the Investment Attraction Council took place.

During the meeting of the investment headquarters, the main conditions of the Investment Agreements aimed at modernizing key enterprises, creating new jobs, and developing innovative production were reviewed and approved.

The conclusion of an Investment Agreement with JSC "Qarmet" has been approved. In 2024, the company plans to invest $1.3 billion in the modernization of the plant and the development of infrastructure for the creation of high-tech clusters as part of its investment commitments. Additionally, under its long-term strategy, the enterprise intends to allocate $3.5 billion for the implementation of investment projects by the end of 2028. The modernization of the JSC "Qarmet" plant will be a significant step in the socio-economic development of the region.

Furthermore, the Investment Agreement for the construction of a plant for the production of oriented strand board and laminated particle board by LLP "Ultradecor Trading Kazakhstan" in the North Kazakhstan region has been approved. The implementation of this project will create a multiplicative effect in the development of the manufacturing industry and will bring around 82 billion tenge in investments to the economy.

A project for the construction of a water pipeline with a cascade of hydroelectric power stations on the Ugam River in the Turkestan region has also been approved. The total investment in the project is approximately 190 billion tenge. The goal of the project is to provide quality drinking water to about 1 million residents of the Turkestan region. The project is also aimed at addressing the electricity shortage in the region, improving sanitary and hygienic conditions, and enhancing the overall quality of life for the local population.
