The Akim of Pavlodar Region, Asain Baikhanov, met with the U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Daniel Rosenblum. According to the press service of the akimat, the regional leader discussed the unique features of the Pavlodar Irtysh area, its economic potential, and investment opportunities.
In turn, Daniel Rosenblum expressed interest in the development of civil society, health care issues, and whether there are challenges where international cooperation could be beneficial.
Asain Baikhanov thanked for the assistance in supplying equipment to the AIDS center in Pavlodar and for the expansion of educational projects focused on artificial intelligence development. He particularly emphasized the need for support in upgrading the qualifications of Pavlodar doctors and sharing experiences with leading clinics in the U.S.
The regional head also noted that, in addition to economic cooperation, there are partnership programs with the U.S. Diplomatic Mission, such as American Corner Pavlodar and Makerspace.
At the end of the meeting, a painting by a local artist was presented to the U.S. ambassador.
During his introductory visit, the U.S. Ambassador will tour the Buchar Zhyrau Museum of Literature and Art and the S. Toraygirov Regional Library in Pavlodar. Before departing, he will visit the Mashkhur Zhusup Mosque.
