In the Aktobe region, plans are underway to establish the Qargaly Eco Resort at the Kargaly Reservoir. This will be a leisure area and amusement park. According to the press service of the regional akimat, the project is estimated to cost around 4 billion tenge.
The Qargaly Eco Resort project by Samet International involves creating an environmentally friendly resort area that will feature residential and entertainment facilities, restaurants, sports and play areas, as well as various infrastructure to ensure comfortable recreation.
The company will implement the project using its own funds. As part of the "Business Roadmap 2025" program, in 2022, an electricity transmission line worth 29.2 million tenge was installed in the reservoir area.
During the summer, two rest houses with 8 and 4 sleeping spaces operate in this area, alongside which a pier and three containers are set up. The project envisions expansion and the creation of new facilities, which will promote tourism development.
“The nature in the Kargaly region is truly wonderful, and we will actively develop tourism here. We will improve the roads and enhance mobile communication. We met with entrepreneurs who proposed their ideas for developing the tourism sector in the region, and we will definitely take them into account. I am confident that with the development of tourism, new opportunities for growth and prosperity will arise for the Kargaly region,” said the regional akim, Askhat Shakharov.
Earlier, Kazakh Tourism reported that according to the "eQonaq" system, 45,063 foreign guests visited the Aktobe region last year.
A Special Economic Zone (SEZ) named "Aktobe" has been established based on the A. Moldagulova International Airport. It will operate until the end of 2049.
