The International Monetary Fund (IMF) anticipates a GDP growth of 5.5% for Kazakhstan in 2025 and 4.1% in 2026, as reported in the World Economic Outlook published on Friday by Interfax-Kazakhstan.
In its previous October report, the IMF had forecasted a growth of 4.6% for the country's economy in 2025 and 3.5% in 2026. Thus, the IMF has revised its GDP growth forecast for Kazakhstan upward.
For 2024, the IMF estimates the country's GDP growth at 4%, slowing down from 5.1% in 2023.
As reported, the GDP growth of Kazakhstan for the period from January to November 2024 was 4.4%. The National Bank of Kazakhstan expects a GDP growth of 4-4.5% in 2024, the UN - 4%, and the World Bank - 4%.
In 2023, Kazakhstan's GDP growth was 5.1%.
