Multimodal warehouses of "Kazpost" will be established in Almaty, Aktobe, and Turkestan regions. This was announced today during a government meeting by the chairperson of the board of JSC "Kazpost," Asel Zhanasova, as reported by a correspondent from the Kapital.kz business information center.
"To support the growth of e-commerce, we are developing a network of modern warehouse complexes. Together with international partners, we plan to construct multimodal warehouses in Almaty, Aktobe, and Turkestan regions with a total area of over 85,000 square meters. The total investment amounts to approximately 100 million dollars. This will be very convenient for both domestic and cross-border markets, with deliveries to nine countries," she noted.
The head of "Kazpost" emphasized that the growth of e-commerce opens unique opportunities for Kazakhstan. This includes the development of entrepreneurship in the regions and strengthening Kazakhstan's position as a logistics hub in Central Asia. Here, the key role of "Kazpost" is to ensure a reliable infrastructure for the e-commerce market.
"By 2029, the number of parcels per person will reach 27 parcels per year. This will contribute to the growth of both the domestic market and cross-border trade. The share of international marketplaces will reach 19%, and "Kazpost," by collaborating with both local and international players, is already providing access to e-commerce across the country. "Kazpost" has created a comprehensive ecosystem of logistics services, and over 10,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, along with key marketplaces, trust "Kazpost" for a full cycle of services, from fulfillment to express delivery and financial services," Asel Zhanasova reported.
This allows the national company's partners to focus on developing their business processes, she noted. According to her, in 2024, the number of parcels at "Kazpost" increased by 26% and reached 20 million across Kazakhstan.
