The President attended the "City of Working Professions" festival, as reported by the business information center Kapital.kz, referencing the press service of Akorda.
The "City of Working Professions" festival is taking place at the EXPO exhibition site, uniting future specialists, employers, and organizations in vocational and technical education. This is the first large-scale event within the framework of the Year of Working Professions, declared by the head of state, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The festival is being held with the support of the Ministry of Education and other relevant agencies, national companies, and major enterprises. It features 40 interactive exhibition zones, where attendees can learn about more than 200 specialties and the specifics of various sectors of the economy. Over the course of several days, workshops, master classes, innovative sessions, and job fairs will be organized as part of the festival. More than 15,000 people visited the event in the first two days.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the training of specialists for the energy, mining, metallurgy, oil and gas, construction, agriculture, and other industries.
The President received updates on the transformations in vocational and technical education organizations, which are focused on the demands of the labor market, considering regional specifics.
According to the head of state, qualified specialists will be in high demand for the implementation of major projects, such as the construction of a nuclear power plant.

During a conversation with festival participants, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that every type of labor deserves respect and called on young people to work diligently.
The President also commented on the situation regarding Ukraine, highlighting the importance of maintaining stability as the main value of our country.
“We uphold the ideology of 'unity in diversity.' Despite belonging to different nationalities and faiths, we are one society, one people. I urge all of you to understand this profound process. Only on this basis can we achieve success. There has been much discussion about Ukraine. From the very beginning, we have advocated for an end to the war, for reaching consensus and agreement through diplomatic negotiations. Our position is becoming a reality, with two major powers starting political dialogue. This is a positive trend that will benefit Kazakhstan. Therefore, we will support this trend as much as possible,” said the president.

It should be noted that it was previously reported that U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin reached an agreement to start negotiations regarding the situation in Ukraine.
