A study by HeadHunter Kazakhstan revealed that 48% of working citizens plan to change their jobs in 2025, reports a correspondent from the business information center Kapital.kz, citing data from the company.
Industries with the highest employee turnover
The largest number of employees planning to change jobs is noted in the following sectors:
- Manufacturing and agriculture — 63%.
- Transportation and logistics — 59%.
- Trade and sales — 55%.
The reasons cited by employees indicate a need for improved working conditions:
- Low salary levels (67%).
- Limited career advancement opportunities (45%).
- Difficult working conditions and overtime (38%).
One in eight (12%) is considering the possibility of relocating to another region of Kazakhstan. The main centers of attraction remain Astana and Almaty, which offer more opportunities for both professional and personal development.
20% of respondents want to learn a new profession, with the IT sector being the most popular choice. This trend has become particularly noticeable among women: in 2022, only 18% expressed a desire to enter the digital field, while by 2025, this figure had risen to 24%.
