The Chairman of the Board of NUH "Baiterek," Rustam Karagoyshin, informed Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov about the results of the holding's investment and financial activities, as well as those of its subsidiaries for the year 2024, as reported by primeminister.kz.

He reported on the measures taken to finance the non-resource sector of the economy, totaling 4.09 trillion tenge. Compared to the previous year, the volume of support increased by 52%. Approximately 58,000 private companies and organizations, not related to the quasi-state sector, were covered. As a result of the increased government support measures, more than 6,000 new jobs were created in the regions. Producers generated goods and provided services worth 7.3 trillion tenge. Additionally, the export volume grew by more than a third, reaching over 1 trillion 046.1 billion tenge.

Through the holding's tools and its structures, farmers acquired over 10,500 units of agricultural machinery and equipment. Furthermore, a financing program for spring field and harvesting works was launched, utilizing bond loans under market conditions. In order to promote a "green" economy, three energy projects were supported, totaling 14.5 billion tenge.

The share of domestic value in the purchases of goods, works, and services by the NUH "Baiterek" group increased in works from 97.9% in 2023 to 99.9% in 2024, in services from 94% to 96%, and in goods from 3% to 48%. The total volume of purchases by the NUH "Baiterek" group last year amounted to 54 billion tenge. Of this, purchases from domestic producers of goods, works, and services amounted to 46 billion tenge, or 85%.

Earlier, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov tasked the Ministry of Agriculture and the "Baiterek" holding to simplify the procedures for lending and subsidizing farmers. Furthermore, the Chairman of the Accounts Committee, Alikhan Smailov, reported that a state audit in the agricultural sector revealed that 142 billion tenge of budget funds were used inefficiently. The committee identified financial violations amounting to 2 billion tenge.
